Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

This page explains what information TC Mobile (techchink.com) collects when you read our phone reviews, specs, comparisons and news, and what we do with it. We are a small, independent content site, so the list is short. We do not sell your personal data.

Who “we” are

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “this site” refer to TC Mobile at techchink.com. We publish content about phones and the mobile industry. We do not run a store, take payments or require an account to read anything.

The short version

  • You can read everything on this site without signing up or giving us your name.
  • Our web server keeps standard technical logs, like almost every website does.
  • The site uses some cookies. Analytics or advertising partners, if we use them, may set their own.
  • Embedded videos and social posts can let those platforms collect data about you.
  • We keep data only as long as we need it.
  • You can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it.
  • We do not sell personal data.

Information collected automatically

Server logs

When your browser requests a page, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical details. These typically include:

  • Your IP address
  • The date and time of the request
  • The page or file requested
  • Your browser type and operating system (the “user agent”)
  • The referring page, if your browser sends one
  • Whether the request succeeded or returned an error

We use these logs to keep the site running, fix broken pages, spot abuse such as spam or automated attacks, and understand overall load on the server. We do not use server logs to build profiles of individual readers.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This site may use:

  • Essential cookies that make the site work properly, for example remembering a display preference or supporting basic security features.
  • Analytics cookies that help us see which articles people read, how they arrive at the site and which pages are slow or confusing. This data is used in aggregate. We look at trends, not individual people.
  • Advertising cookies set by advertising partners we may work with. These can be used to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure whether ads work, and in some cases tailor ads based on your browsing across other sites.

Where the law requires your consent before non-essential cookies are set, we will ask for it, and you can change your choice later.

Analytics and advertising partners

We may use third-party analytics services to measure traffic, and third-party advertising networks to help fund the site. These partners operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, browser details and the pages you visit.

We will only work with partners that provide ways to limit or opt out of tracking. You can also control this yourself:

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
  • Use your browser’s built-in tracking protection
  • Use the opt-out tools that major ad networks and industry bodies provide
  • Turn on the Global Privacy Control signal in browsers that support it

Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading the site.

Embedded content from other sites

Some articles include content hosted elsewhere, such as YouTube videos, posts from X, Instagram or Threads, or other media players. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you visited the other site directly.

Those services may set cookies, record your IP address, track your interaction with the embed, and link the activity to your account if you are logged in with them. We do not control what they collect. Their own privacy policies apply.

Where practical, we use privacy-enhanced embed options or load embedded content only after you choose to play or view it.

Tools that run in your browser

Some features on this site, such as comparison widgets, calculators or spec filters, run entirely in your browser. Where a tool says it runs locally, the information you enter is processed on your device and is not sent to our server. Closing or refreshing the page clears it unless the tool states that it saves preferences in your browser’s local storage, in which case that data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Information you choose to send us

If you contact us through the site, we receive whatever you include in your message, such as your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this only to reply and to deal with your request. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

If we offer comments or a newsletter in the future, this policy will be updated to explain what is collected and how it is used before those features go live.

How long we keep data

Type of data How long we keep it
Server logs Usually up to 90 days, longer only if needed to investigate a specific security problem
Analytics data Kept in aggregate; individual-level data is retained only as long as our analytics settings require, and we choose the shortest practical period
Messages you send us As long as needed to deal with your request, then deleted unless we need to keep a record of the correspondence
Cookies Varies by cookie; session cookies expire when you close your browser, others expire on a set date or when you delete them

Third-party partners keep data according to their own retention policies.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Deliver pages and keep the site fast, secure and available
  • Understand which content is useful so we can improve it
  • Fund the site through advertising, where we use it
  • Respond to messages from readers
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help run the site (such as hosting, analytics and advertising partners, as described above), or when we are legally required to do so.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR in the EU and UK, and state laws such as the CCPA in California, give you rights over your personal data. Even where those laws do not apply to you, we will try to honour reasonable requests. You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you
  • Correct data that is inaccurate
  • Delete your data
  • Restrict or object to certain uses of your data
  • Give you a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave, such as for cookies

To make a request, use the contact options on this site. We may need to ask for information to confirm the request comes from you. We aim to respond within one month.

Bear in mind that much of what we collect, such as server logs and aggregate analytics, is not linked to a name, so we may not be able to identify data belonging to you specifically. For data held by third-party partners or embedded platforms, contacting them directly is often the quickest route.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including serving the site over HTTPS and limiting who can access server logs and site systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

Our articles may refer to manufacturers, retailers and other websites. Once you leave this site, our privacy policy no longer applies. Check the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, for example if we add a new analytics tool, advertising partner or site feature. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the policy was last revised. If a change significantly affects how we handle your data, we will make it clear on the site.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through the contact options on this site.
